Primary stance for Sensitive Beings WHO WE ARE ......This established method of identifying our way of experiencing the "outside" world or Society as we know it is called the Sensory Representational System & refers to Visual, Auditory Total & Literals & Kinaesthetic. The description for Kinaesthetic or Feeling individuals and how we appear to others under stress is as follows: POSITION OF EYES WHEN STRESS TESTEDStay strong looking straight down. Need to look down to say centred so can stay with own feelings and own truth. FOCUS: in the Here and Now. MAJOR STANCE WHEN UNDER STRESSPRIMARILY GOVERNED BY NOT WANTING TO HURT THE OTHER. "I cannot bear for you to feel wrong" MAJOR CHARACTERISTICS UNDER STRESSBecome confused, cannot think - overwhelmed with feeling. Lose own truth and words. Usually lose arguments. Feel, look and act powerless. Avoid confrontation partly because they are so open that the energy goes straight to the heart and it hurts. Feelings are facts and make decisions primarily by their feelings. BEHAVIOUR IN A DISAGREEMENTDifficulty making eye contact Say "I am sorry" a lot Frustrate others with being too compliant Fail to ask for what they want Can tend to agree with anything, just so the other is not upset/hurt or to keep the Peace. NATURAL STRENGTHS WHEN NOT UNDER STRESSAre pleasant to be with Cannot bear to hurt or cause others pain Compassionate Right-brained Sensitive to taste and smell Non-judgemental Good listeners & make others feel at ease and comfortable. I attribute this understanding to Donna Eden, London 1995
